About

Colette Grosso, LCSW, MSW, MEd

I’m a seasoned therapist specializing in post-traumatic growth—working with adults navigating the aftermath of addiction, relational trauma, and complicated grief.

I help people move beyond shame, compulsive behaviors, and patterns of self-neglect by developing the capacity to self-parent, set boundaries, and hold complex emotional truths. My approach is relational, grounded, and warm—with space for both humor and the profound. At the center of it all is the belief that what breaks us open can also remake us.

My work is informed by attachment theory, somatic principles, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness. I strive to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe to access your inner wisdom and truest self. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in your way and practice meeting those parts of you with curiosity and compassion. As insight grows, the path forward becomes clearer—and change becomes a matter of allowing and embodying new ways of being.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in social services. I hold a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University.

In recent years, my primary focus has been counseling with individuals in a private practice outpatient therapy setting in Philadelphia. I believe in the empowerment of individuals and communities and pay particular attention to the forces that act on us due to gender presentation, sex, race, culture, class, ability, weight, and sexual orientation.
