About

Colette Grosso, LCSW, MSW, MEd

My work with clients is relationally based and is most influenced by attachment theory, somatic principles, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness techniques. I am always learning, so as my understanding of what helps changes, so will our work together.  I want my office to be a place where you feel safe to access your inner source of wisdom and your truest self. We’ll get curious together about what your blockages might be and work to find softness and compassion towards those parts. As your insight increases, the path forward becomes clearer. Moving on becomes a matter of allowing yourself to change and practicing the new ways of being.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working in social services. I obtained a Master of Social Work and Master of Education in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University in 2012.

In recent years, my primary focus has been counseling with individuals in a private practice outpatient therapy setting in Philadelphia. I believe in the empowerment of individuals and communities and pay particular attention to the forces that act on us due to gender presentation, sex, race, culture, class, ability, weight, and sexual orientation.

I identify as a queer, sober, fat, white, able-bodied, cisgender, woman. I rent a little row home in South Philadelphia where I tend to a few too many plants. In my spare time I enjoy interior design projects, short hikes, city breaks, and audio-reading psychology books. I can’t wait to learn more about YOU!
